I do not accompany as I believe it is in your best interest if my full attention is on you and your acting choices instead of the score and the piano keys. I will play enough piano during sessions to support you in vocal warmups and exercises, teach you your melody, and help you understand how your vocal line fits within the harmonics of the piece. If you need rehearsal or accompaniment tracks, I can provide you with a list of fabulous accompanists who can make tracks for you at affordable prices. I also recommend the app Appcompanist which has transposable piano accompaniment for many songs in the musical theatre canon.

Yes! I have access to a studio in midtown Manhattan that has all the tools we need for making a great self-tape. I can also provide you with detailed coaching and resources for creating an excellent self-tape setup in your own home.

While I can provide some suggestions for repertoire and can give you guidance as to whether a piece is a good fit, I believe the best repertoire is found when the student does listening research to see what material they most connect with. The best auditions are those in which you are performing material you love! I am happy to connect you with repertoire coaches who work specifically on book building so that our time together can be spent diving into and polishing your pre-selected material.

No problem! We offer both in-person lessons in NYC and online lessons, making it convenient for students from anywhere to join us.

We require 24 hours' notice for online lessons and 48 hours for in-person lessons, with exceptions for emergencies of course. Life happens.
